Gold wedding ring for soccer star Cole

Gold was the precious metal of choice for soccer star Joe Cole when picking the ring for his wedding to Carly Zucker over the weekend.
The Chelsea and England footballer, who married the Welsh fitness trainer in London on Saturday, told Hello magazine that he does not wear jewellery often, but thought that one gold ring in particular would be perfect for the occasion.
"I don't generally wear jewellery so I wanted a ring that would mean something," the 27-year-old remarked, explaining that he had his nan's plain gold wedding band modified to go on his finger.
Cole revealed that he was very close to his grandmother prior to her death four years ago and suggested it would have meant a lot to her if she knew he was wearing her gold on his wedding day.
He proposed to Zucker, 25, with a £50,000 engagement ring in November last year.
