Major gold event to take place in Sri Lanka

A major gold and jewellery event is scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka this summer, it has been revealed.

The17th annual Sri Lanka International Gem and Jewellery Show 'Facets' organised by Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association will be taking place at the BMICH Exhibition and Convention Centre in Columbo on August 30th to September 2nd.

According to the Sri Lankan Daily Mirror, the Sri Lankan point of view holds that:

"There is no better time or place to do your much awaited jewellery shopping be it for the festival, wedding, engagement or you name it; in the luxury of air conditioning under one roof, you have the best known local names in the business, garnished with a spread of foreign design and elegance."

There will be a selection of jewellery on offer including18-22 carat white and yellow gold sets.

Attending the event will be manufacturers and wholesalers from all over the world including Madagascar, Burma, Dubai, Thailand, Hong Kong and India.
