Ten Commandments gold bracelet launched

Thursday, 22nd March 2007 (8052 views)
An American jeweller is to begin creating a series of pieces with a biblical theme starting with the conception of the Ten Commandments bracelet.

Carl Scarlata, who established Authentic Biblical Concept Designs, has created the 18-carat gold and stainless steel bracelet so that the wearer can, at all times, be aware of the nature of the commandments that God gave to Moses, documented in the bible.

According to Mr Scarlata, the bracelet is intended to highlight the importance of God's commandments in the face of increasing separation between church and state.

He explained: "The Ten Commandments are the basis for the laws we have today, yet there is a fight to keep them on courthouse lawns and other locations."

Aside from this biblically-inspired piece, Mr Scarlata has also previously designed the Life Ring which is his signature design, as well as rings for veterans of both Vietnam and Desert Storm operations.

The Ten Commandments bracelet comprises ten links, each kept apart by a Torah scroll replica and each link has a roman numeral and the written commandment imprinted upon it.
