Prestigious Geneva-based watchmaker Baume & Mercier has released a gold version of their popular Diamant watch in the Middle East.
The Diamant range, a top-level watch selection and a popular accessory in women's fashion, was originally launched in steel last year and has been widely hailed as a versatile design suitable for many different occasions.
The new version comes dressed in the more glamorous gold rather than steel in its signature square case, encrusted with small, finely-cut diamonds.
Gold has for centuries been a symbol of status, wealth and grace and provides a suitable counterbalance to the watch's incurved case and domed sapphire crystal elongated horns.
The centre piece of the watch is its oval crown, which encloses a genuine ex-centred diamond set into a mother-of-pearl dial.
Baume & Mercier has been making the luxury timepieces since 1830. Its list prices for the Diamant range fall between $1,500 and $4,000.
