The most recent addition to the Full Tilt Poker professionals' roster, Lee Watkinson, has announced his arrival by winning his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Watkinson took home $655,746 for his victory in the $10,000 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha tournament, just one of a series of poker games running as part of the WSOP event held in the gambling capital of the world each year.
Professional players across the globe will say that a gold WSOP bracelet is worth much more than the prize-money however it is the highest accolade a poker pro can earn.
"Winning his first bracelet against such a tough field shows what a great all-around player Lee is," said fellow Full Tilt Poker professional Howard Lederer. "We are proud and excited to have Lee join our team."
The headline competition in the WSOP is always the No-Limit Hold'em World Championship event, the most prestigious of all poker tournaments, which offers prize-money totalling several million.
The winner of this year's World Championship bracelet will be decided on Thursday, 10th August at the Rio Suites, Las Vegas.
