Miss Leeds will be competing to win the coveted title of Miss England next week, and is enlisting the help of £50,000 worth of white gold jewellery to help her out.
Becky Baker, from Headingley in Leeds, will be wearing the a stunning white gold and diamond pendant, a bracelet, earrings and a ring while modelling evening wear in the Miss England final, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
The 22-year-old hopes the jewellery, which has been kindly loaned to her by Phillip Stoner Jewellery, will help her stand out from the other 69 finalists in the contest in Leicester on July 13th.
Becky admits she entered the Miss Leeds competition as a joke, and was extremely surprised to win. She now hopes to go further and win the Miss England crown.
"Once I got through to be Miss Leeds I saw it as an opportunity not only to do something for myself but also for the city," she told the paper.
If she is named Miss England, Becky will go on to compete in the Miss World finals in Poland in September. Chris Stoner, from Phillip Stoner Jewellery, has promised to lend her plenty more fabulous jewels for the event.
