A new specialist company for weddings, Adorn Brides, is offering a service to brides to lease expensive gold, silver, platinum and diamond jewellery for their special day.
The Missouri company offers brides the chance to wear expensive items that would normally encompass a large proportion of their wedding budget at an affordable cost.
"It's such an intimate, personal item that is with you throughout this special day - all day. Why cheapen it with costume jewellery? said one bride who used the service.
Bert Stouffer, the founder of Adorn Brides, described the sort of benefits his company provided, insisting the leasing idea made that special day all the more exciting.
"Imagine the fun of opening the jewellery box and seeing that beautiful piece of jewellery for the first time, knowing that you'll get to wear that magnificent piece on your wedding day," he effused.
"It's the crowning touch, the excitement and confidence that comes with wearing a real piece of fine jewellery," Mr Stouffer continued. "The best part is Adorn Brides offers a luxurious experience that's affordable, convenient and practical."
Leasing jewellery for a special occasion has long been the preserve of celebrities attending fashionable awards shows or ceremonial events, but this service is now being brought to brides for their own one-off event for which only the best will do.
