WGC and Vicenza launch Gold Expressions

Monday, 20th June 2005 (8441 views)
The World Gold Council (WGC) and the Vicenza Fair have joined forces to launch Gold Expressions: Setting Global Trends in Gold Jewellery.

Gold Expressions pieces are said to be based on the latest socio-cultural preferences and were created in response to research on the core gold-buying consumers in the main gold markets.

The programme is design-focused and hopes to create and launch new gold jewellery designs and trends.

In addition, both parties hope the campaign will boost global consumer demand for gold jewellery.

Moaz Barakat, managing director of the WGC for the Middle East, Turkey and Pakistan, said: "This year, there are 69 participating goldsmiths who created stunning collections of gold jewellery in an effort to help elevate the jewellery design around the globe including the Middle East.

"The Gold Expressions jewellery pieces are all original, yet marketable. We are confident that with the new gold jewellery forms, lines and trends, we will be attracting the international press and buyer."

Gold Expressions 2005 will launch in the Middle East on June 25th, followed by an amazing jewellery fashion Gala Night to showcase the new pieces.track
