Recognised as the Oscars of innovative gold jewellery design, the theme for the latest edition of AuDITIONS Brazil is “Hyper Nature”. This theme imbues the desire for a change to a better life, developing a powerful sense of social and personal responsibility for the planet.
AuDTIONS Brazil has grown from success to success. The current competition, the fourth to be held attracted 1800 entrants from across Brazil and has two entry categories; the designer category opened for professional jewellery designers and the new talent category, opened to students of design, art, architecture, fashion and jewellery.
From the designer category, the winning piece designed by the design duo Júnea Fontenelle and Guilherme Canabrava conceptualises all the elements of nature and their interdependence on each other. From the new talent category, the winning piece designed by designer student, Thayana Cordeiro de Meneses, represents water, the ultimate symbol of purification, the lifeblood of imagination.
