CATWALK AUDITIONS AT SA FASHION WEEK

 

Sanlam SA Fashion Week opened with a first-time catwalk collaboration, The Garden of Good & Gold, presented by international gold couture brand AuDITIONS and Franz Gräbe Flower Couture. The event was attended by scores of celebrities and personalities at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. Billed as a highlight of the 2008 summer collections, the show presented 16 delicate organic garments that were inspired by a selection of award-winning gold couture jewellery from AuDITIONS. 

 

The Garden of Good & Gold was created as a one-off event. The collection is uniquely South African, a multi-disciplinary fusion of art, jewellery, fashion and organic material design; sporting coquettish hats and haute couture garments made from petals, twigs, thorns, bark, reeds, leaves, grass and flowers gleamed with bespoke gold bangles, brooches, rings, neckpieces and futuristic body pieces from South Africa and Brazil.
