The series of souvenir coins representing Dubai are produced in the emirate, to the specifications set by DMCC, by Emirates Gold, a local refinery mandated by DMCC and are sold exclusively by DMCC-licensed agents. Emirates Gold is an approved “Dubai Good Delivery” brand, and its bars are acceptable for delivery in the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange, in India in the Multi Commodities Exchange and NCDEX, and in Turkey in the Istanbul Gold Exchange. The coins are 22 karat gold, and are available in 4 different denominations: 1 oz, ½ oz, ¼ oz and 1/10 oz
Distribution of the gold coins is exclusive to licensed agents of DMCC to ensure consistent high quality. The “Visions of Dubai” gold coins are marketed through various channels, including banks, dealers, brokerage houses and coin dealers. It is also sold through retail outlets such as souvenir shops, airport boutiques, and jewellery stores within major shopping centres and markets, such as the Gold Souk and Dubai Duty Free. It is also distributed through the Jumeirah International Group.
