Style Letter - Between art & fashion
16 Style LETTER ITALY BETWEEN ART & FASHION PAGE ONE: An
Ambitious project AGC (Associazione gioiello contemporaneo), is an
organisation active in Italy with the aims of promoting and adding
value to precious jewellery as a form of art. AGC was formed on the
theme of crafts, art and design in the field of contemporary
jewellery. The Association supports, organises and takes parts in
events that have the sole aim of promoting the culture of
contemporary jewellery, and will be co-operating soon with
secondary schools, universities and private schools on seminars and
debates. Workshops held by national and international lecturers
will be organised exploring new creative processes, new techniques
in jewellery making and the philosophy of contemporary jewellery.
PAGE TWO: New Players Cutting-edge collections in precious gold
will help to achieve the aim of the Association, which is to give
visibility to new players with very competitive entrepreneurial
skills, aesthetic sense and spirit of observation, who
instinctively know how to find beauty in things and are capable of
launching a new jewellery concept without betraying tradition. The
“creative sparkâ€, that evolves into
developing graphic ideas and visualizing projects, is communicated
through shapes, colour and volumes and is transformed into material
objects, luxury pieces, that lay somewhere between art and fashion,
often taking on symbolic and sentimental meanings, all that are
unique to gold. CREDITS: The Association is open to anyone with an
interest in the development of contemporary jewellery, whether
designer-makers, galleries, art critics, museum curators or
collectors. For more information: Tel: +30 06 68308233 Email:
