Oakland ring in 18ct yellow gold, by Alexandra Jefford. Part of a collaboration with Emily King for Art Basel 2011.
Her continuing passion for art and design has helped her evolve a sense of unconventional beauty, and, as she explains, to give her jewels a unique edge. Linear and graphic, exploring space and movement, her jewels, made predominantly in 18 carat gold, yellow, pink or white gold, are often inspired by modern artists, like Calder, Ben Nicholson, Barbara Hepworth, Hans Arp, or by the Bauhaus movement.
